Over 50 filmmakers, along with their creative teams, will convene at the Museum of the Moving Image, bringing their passion for cinema, their best elevator pitches, posters, press kits to share with journalists, bloggers, and photographers. The Museum café will be buzzing with energy as filmmakers, Queens World founders and Board of Directors guests enjoy nibbles, coffee, photo opportunities, and interviews.

The Grand Unveiling:
The highlight of the event takes place in the awe-inspiring Sumner Redstone Theatre. Here, attendees will witness the thrilling 2024 Festival Sizzle Reel reveal which promises to ignite the excitement for the upcoming festival. Questions will be entertained from attendees, offering local media outlets the opportunity to dive deep into the world of the festival. As the event concludes, all the filmmakers will gather on stage for the annual photo, a tradition that captures the essence of Queens World.

Festival Highlights:
Incredible Venues: Queens World will screen at the Museum of the Moving Image in the glorious Redstone Theatre and Bartos Screening room. Right next door the festival will also screen in the historic Zukor Theater Screening Room in Kaufman Astoria Studios.
Global Participation: Filmmakers from around the world have contributed films making this a diverse and vibrant cinematic celebration.
Thoughtful Curation: QWFF's selection and curation process ensures that stories representing familiar and new groundbreaking genres are chosen for the festival.

Our venue partners, The Museum of the Moving Image and Kaufman Astoria Studios are hosting 47 screening events and our Media Partners at the Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment have secured 20 bus shelters as locations for our festival poster this year, while Schneps Media and Queens Chronicle are running special editions on our behalf. It’s in Queens, QPTV and MovieMakerMagazine are helping to get the word out by promoting the festival with ads, feature articles, and listings. Citrin Cooperman has joined forces with the festival as the Trailer Party Sponsor, making sure that the filmmakers can share their work with the broadest audience possible.
Queens World’s curation allows Bloc Sponsors to find their audiences by selecting the perfect bloc to become involved with. This year’s Bloc Sponsors are Queens Chamber of Commerce and Forest Hills Women’s Group are supporting Welcoming Night and Dweh Foundation, Next Level Planning, Table Wine, The Queensboro Restaurant, and Armondo’s Italian Restaurant have all adopted a screening bloc to support and their support makes so much more possible for our filmmakers.
During the festival Sac’s Place is offering 15% off food and beverages for festival participants and attendees and Four Points by Sheraton Flushing, ADRIA Hotel and Conference Center, voco Fiorello LaGuardia East and the Local Hostels are offering discounts accommodations for out of towners
