Faces of Queens: Thomas Jockin

QPTV Presents

Thomas is a professor at Queens College, and FIT who invented a technology for screening for dyslexia. Universal screening of students for dyslexia is mandated by law in 31 states. These evaluations can take as long as 20 mins per child. Readable Technology's Artificial Intelligence detects reading performance in 90 seconds or less with just the basic webcam on a laptop. Readable Technologies tracks your student's eye behavior while they read text using the default webcam on your laptop. Those eye features are then sent to a database and train by our machine learning AI to make accurate predictions of dyslexia. All student data collected by Readable Technologies adheres to all applicable federal and state laws and regulations that safeguard education records, privacy, and confidentiality.
