Faces of Queens: Penko Platikanov Sculpture Artist

Penko Platikanov is artist working in the fields of figurative and abstract sculpture. He graduated from the National Academy of Art, Sculpture Department - Sofia, Bulgaria with MFA degree. The artist lives in New York City since the year of 2000.  Penko's Art  Studio is located in Long Island City, where he runs the LIC Sculpture School for figurative sculpture and drawing. The sculptor is working in different medias, like his preferable materials are Bronze, Terra-cotta, Wood, Stone, Iron, Aqua resin as well as Hydro stone. During his career as an artist, he has participated in a number of exhibitions. Created by him artworks are in many private collections in  USA, Bulgaria, Belgium and Italy. Penko's work in the field of sculpture restoration, decorative and architectural sculpture  could be seen on the walls and inside the interiors of many churches, theaters and governmental buildings in USA and abroad. qptv.org
