Every year Tom Grech, President & CEO, Queens Chamber of Commerce hosts a business expo at Citi Field. The event gets bigger, bolder, and better with over 140 exhibitors and decision makers from New York City. They feature a panel discussion facilitated by the Chamber and the New York Daily News. Guest
speakers: Thomas Donovan, Vice Chairman, Partner at B6 Real Estate Advisors; Elizabeth Lusskin, President at Long Island City Partnership; and Julie Samuels, Executive Director of Tech:NYC; speak about “Why Tech Needs Queens.” Also, you always get to rub elbows with a famous Mets player like Paul Lo Duca former catcher for the NY Mets.
Last year the Chamber’s theme was “Planes, Trains and Automobiles: A Queens Perspective” where Tom Grech hosts another famous Mets player, former Yankee and Mets pitcher Doc Gooden to talk to attendees. The annual NY Daily News panel discussion highlights, Planes: Seth Pinsky, RXR and JetBlue at JFK & Lysa Scully, General Manager, Port Authority NY/NJ at LaGuardia Airport; Trains: Andy Byford, MTA President; and Automobiles: Mark Schienberg, President, Greater NY Auto Dealers Association (GNYADA). This event is always a huge success! Participants enjoy a full day that includes: complimentary transportation, meet and greet the Queens Assembly and Senate delegations, tours of the majestic Capitol Building and Legislative Chambers, and a sampling from the finest food and drink purveyors in Queens. The trip gives Queens’ constituents an opportunity to come together at the State Capitol to have their voice heard and to showcase the culture, tourism, and economic development of our great borough at the State Capitol in Albany.
