QPTV News Desk Presents: A FINAL SALUTE TO DETECTIVE BRIAN MOORE

QPTV News Desk

Tune in as QPTV brings you this final salute to Police Officer Brian Moore of the 105th Precinct’s Anti-Crime Unit. Officer Moore was shot on Saturday, May 2, 2015 by a career criminal in Queens. There was a sea of blue that lined up to salute this fallen hero at the St. James Roman Catholic Church in Seaford, New York. Officer Moore was with his partner, Erik Jansen, when Demetrius Blackwell pulled out a gun and fired into the police car striking Moore in the head. Officer Moore passed away on Monday, May 4, 2015 at just 25 years of age. Moore was a decorated New York City Police Officer with 5 years on the job. Family, friends, dignitaries, community members, and thousands of law enforcement officers from around the nation gathered at St. James to pay their respects to Officer Moore and his family. Police Officer Brian Moore was posthumously promoted to Detective by Police Commissioner Bratton. Our thoughts and prayers go to Detective Moore’s family, friends, the community, and the NYPD for such a horrific loss.
