Around Queens: Girl Scouts of Queens

The Girl Scouts of Greater New York have announced this year’s top cookie sellers—and for Queens, the title goes once again to Julia L., a 15-year-old powerhouse who topped the borough last year as well. This year, she sold an incredible 1,551 boxes of cookies, outselling every other Girl Scout in Queens and topping her sales last year by an additional 15 boxes!

Julia’s dedication to the program isn’t just about cookies—it’s about setting goals, persevering through challenges, and developing the entrepreneurial skills that Girl Scouting is known for. As a repeat borough leader, she continues to serve as a role model for her peers while representing the values of leadership, resilience, and community spirit.
