Habitat for Humanity in Queens

Queens Borough President Helen Marshall participated in a groundbreaking ceremony Saturday, September 21, to kick off a renovation project spearheaded by Habitat of Humanity New York City, the local affiliate of the group founded by Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter.  This fall, volunteers from the group are rehabilitating five vacant and dilapidated Queens homes, including this one in Rosedale, so they can be transformed into housing for low-income, first-time homebuyers.
